HISTORY
The true and living God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is the object of our worship.  Therefore, “true worship is essentially a vertical exercise, the human response to the divine Creator and Redeemer” (Daniel Block, For the Glory of God). We chose the name Vertical Church to reflect our desire to glorify God and lift high the name of Jesus.

Vertical Church San Jose is an elder-led church. The name Vertical Church highlights our desire to do everything for the glory and exaltation of God through the five values of unapologetic preaching, unashamed worship, unceasing prayer, unafraid witness and unconditional love.

Our mission is simple: to glorify God and to make disciples who worship Christ, walk with Christ, work for Christ and witness for Christ.
